Blurb

I’m secretly in love with my best friend’s little sister.

So, I do what any good friend would—avoid her.
At least, until my house floods, and my best friend suggests I move in with Wren.

Resisting her has never been easy.
But when Wren convinces me to be her dating coach, it’s impossible.

The more we “practice,” the harder I fall for her and her amazing son.
The more I start to believe what we have is real.

It feels like love, but is it worth risking my friendship with Wren and her brother to know if she feels the same?

Review

I adored this story! 5-stars!

Bennett is the kind of hero I love to root for. He’s smart, he’s successful, and he’s SO DANG KIND you can’t help but love him. Add in the fact that he treats Wren like she’s his whole world (and her son, River, too), and you’re pulling for this couple.

Wren, a single, mid-twenties single mom is struggling in the dating world. She believes she’s a terrible dater, unworthy of a love like her parents. Little does she know, her big brother is playing protector and that’s mainly the source of all of her dating woes. Bennett hears that Liam is going to sabotage yet another date for Wren, and he rides in as the white knight on his horse to rescue her from disappointment.

Then his house floods and he needs somewhere to stay.

The obvious choice is his best friend Liam’s house, but it’s under construction. Liam volunteers the spare room at Wren’s house, and that’s all these characters need for their close proximity, friends-to-lovers romance.

This book is super well written. The characters have depth. There are incredible relationships of all kinds in this book: relationships between friends, siblings, parent and child (both grown children and actual kids), and, simply, just so much love. It’s encouraging to see examples of parents who embrace their kid’s unique attributes and to find others who love them exactly as they are. We need more examples of this in our world.

READ THIS BOOK. It’s sweet but still *real* spicy 😉
