Blurb

Join an anxious bookworm as she lets her alter ego call the shots in this steamy romantic comedy about finding the courage to step out of your comfort zone.

I keep my nose stuck in a book where things are safe. But after a night out with friends, it becomes painfully obvious that while I’ve lived a million lives between the pages, I’ve never had an adventure of my own.

So when my sister asks me to fly to New York for her wedding, I decide to become Harriet 2.0: a bold, outgoing version of myself. Who knew this little experiment would initiate me into the mile high club?

Except, Luke isn’t just the tall, sexy stranger in the middle seat with a devastating smile and gorgeous forearms. He’s here in New York, and he’s totally off-limits.

When I learn that he’s a gamer who gets all my nerdy references, I can’t stay away—even if it might jeopardize my sister’s wedding. With my time in New York running out, I find myself wanting to do the most outrageous thing of all: take a chance on love.

Here’s what you can expect from Outrageously in Love:
♥ Steamy romantic comedy with a side of forbidden love
♥ Hot nerdy hero
♥ Anxious heroine stepping out of her comfort zone
♥ First big O – but definitely not the last!
♥ Instant attraction/chemistry
♥ Maid of honor duties and wedding mayhem
♥ A few of New York’s quirky hidden gems

Please note that this book contains sensitive topics such as high school bullying, self-harm, panic attacks, and divorce. It also contains cursing and sex scenes, and is intended for audiences 18 years and older.

This book can be read as a standalone, but it contains spoilers for the earlier books in the series.

Review

Oh. My. Goodness. This book is everything.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the third installment in the Love in the City series, author Jen Morris knocks it out of the freaking park.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I instantly fell in love with Harriet + Luke. Their meet-cute wrapped me in a warm hug + I felt that warm lovey feeling through the whole book. Inspired to take some hard steps forward in her life after a night out with friends, Harriet boards a plane to New York for her sister’s wedding, only to be seated next to a handsome, albeit nervous flyer, Luke. Enter Harriet 2.0. She’s brave, she’s wild, and she does something *legitimately* kinda crazy… Luke just brings it out of her.

Convinced she’s never going to see him again, Harriet visits with her sister several weeks before her wedding, which ends up being more than complicated by the reappearance of one disappearing flying buddy.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These characters are facing real, hard, emotionally challenging things, + I’m so encouraged when characters find the person they need to help them be brave in moments when fear, heartbreak, or mental health consume their thoughts. This book does all of these things while also reminding the reader that there is a person out there for everyone, no matter what our own quirks are.

Harriet has overcome so much in her life, and parts of her story resonate so deeply in my heart that I value Morris sharing this specific story. We all know being a teenager is HARD these days. It’s beautiful to see Harriet blossom right in front of our eyes, learning to live for herself and embracing a part of herself she hid from the world for so long. Luke also teaches the reader so much about chasing our dreams and leaning into our hopes and fears.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Also. IT’S FREAKING STEAMY + I LOVE IT. Harriet needs help from Luke to let her naughty side out, and OH BOY DOES HE HELP HER. *fans face*

This is an amazing book + I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. These two might be one of my favorite fictional couples… and that’s saying something. I’ve read nearly 320 books already this year, but I already want to go back and re-read this one.

Rating: 5 Stars (actually ALL THE STARS)
