Review

I can’t believe it’s the end of the Mason brothers. I love this family so much, and each brother’s story is so uniquely them that I couldn’t wait to meet Wade, the most mysterious and reserved of the group.

It was a little slow at the beginning for me, and I struggled to really get into this story at first, possibly because of all the other characters (even though I absolutely LOVED seeing the brothers/couples I’d already fallen in love with). Leading lady Dara didn’t slow her roll in her attempt to get Wade out of his comfort zone. Wade knew he was in trouble with Dara from the beginning, and that only made their story sweeter. But when they finally succumbed to the tension in their relationship by being vulnerable with each other, I couldn’t put the book down.

Both main characters were shaped by losses that put grief at the forefront of their minds, and both experienced loneliness brought on by that grief. These are two lost souls who are wandering through life trying not to get hurt again, but with vastly different approaches.

Wade’s story was surprising, and it was so beautiful to see his cinnamon roll insides – finally! This book had all the cornerstones of a great romance novel. And what a great wrap-up to the Mason family storyline.
