This was my first read by author Maren Moore and it certainly won’t be my last. Sincerely, The Puck Bunny is full of heartfelt, genuine connections between people who became family.

As someone who knows personal pain and bittersweet memories between family members, I connected with this book a lot.

Daddy Briggs is an alpha athlete with a painful past who quite literally bumped into Maddison on a weekend getaway that changes both of their lives. Briggs feels a deep connection with Maddison from the beginning, but it takes about nine months for them to reconnect, just in time.

Maddison is hesitant to trust Briggs for many reasons, but around every turn, Briggs challenges the version of himself that Maddison has gotten to know through the media. While he works to tear down Maddison’s walls at every turn, she secretly and stubbornly holds on to a secret that will hurt Briggs once he finds out the truth.

These two are such loving and caring co-parents, it is hard not to fall in love with their little family. Daddy Briggs and his hockey buddies make the best uncles for sweet Olive, and when their wives and significant others invite Maddison into their little family, it’s utterly perfect.

This is a story about untraditional family, forgiveness, and unconditional love. If you love watching a man fall in love with his daughter, there is no way this book will disappoint you.
