Review
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Josh is my new favorite. I’ve always hated Josh just a little bit, so it’s fitting that this is a love-hate relationship with me, same as Josh and Jules. I’m always a sucker for enemies-to-lovers, but this book freaking went there with the hate, and I absolutely devoured it.
Jules and Josh go toe-to-toe, jab-for-jab, with some perfect left hooks thrown in there.
While I believe this to be the most mild of the Twisted series by Huang, the real antagonists in this story are the main characters. Both Josh and Jules have inner demons they are fighting, and they find it hard to fight each other at the same time as they fight their inner battles. Eventually, they succumb to their hate for each other, in the form of a firecracker physical relationship. The chemistry burned off the page and straight into my heart. It was immediate lust for these two.
As Josh confronts his own battles, he learns to lean on someone else, someone he never imagined even remotely caring for. That trust should be the start of something beautiful for both characters. Unfortunately for these two, Jules can’t give up her own distrust, which causes her dark past to leak into her bright (fiery, burning) future with Josh. Through heartbreak, both find healing in ways neither expected.
If you don’t like steamy books, THIS IS NOT THE BOOK FOR YOU. These two are HOT in *allllllll* the best ways. Woof.
This book was THICK and it is worth every single one of the 520 pages.

- Jealousy and some series alpha vibes – a.k.a. “MINE. MINE. MINE.”
- THE SPICE of their relationship (toys, edging, ~LeSsOnS~ + punishments, etc.)
- Healing
Okay. This book is easily 5 stars for me. Obviously. I loved it.
